Lee Iacocca, who was responsible for the resurrection of Chrysler in the 1980s, died on July 2, 2019.

He led a long and productive life.

Before becoming the Chairman of Chrysler, he worked for Ford for 32 years and helped launch the Mustang. In addition, he launched the K-car and the trend-setting mini-van.

As far as finances, he had Chrysler pay back its government loans, with interest, 7 years early.
