For Challenger owners with lifetime powertrain warranties, it is vital that you bring your car to the dealer within the 60 day window of the anniversary of your 5-year ownership. If you don't get your car inspected, your warranty may be reset to the basic 3/36 and 5/100.

Chrysler will give you wriiten notication. Howver, make sure that your current address is on file.

Dodge offered the lifetime warranty for a few years on certain models. Check with your dealer for more info.

My dealer told me that the lifetime powertrain warranty was only available in 2009 and 2010 and only on R/T models at a cost of $12/month on my loan. I do not know how accurate that is.

I put it on mine, but now I am thinking I want to modify and that would void that warranty.

    I think I'd remember if I had that. Sucks I don't...

A little clarification. Lifetime powertrain warranty was available only on 2009 vehicles with 5.7 and smaller engines. You have to be the original owner, the warranty is not transferrable. By my 5 year mark, I will have a warranty voiding camshaft in it ;) that is, if they want to delve that deep on the inspection.

I always wondered, does that warranty transfer to the new owner if you were to sell it?
