I didn't bring my R/T to this show (brought the Trans Am) but wanted to share some wonderful Mopar cars that were present.

I need to start with the Durango Hellcat. I talked to the owner last November and he told me he ordered one and it would take about 6 months. It actually took 9 months and he brought it to this local show here in Franklin, NC. The photos include the Durango and it's engine.

I also deeply admired this 1972 Roadrunner with the 440 6 pack. It was a car that has been in the same family for a very long time, going from father to son.

    Enjoy the photos.

More.... No Top 10 winners or 'People's Choice' awards given to any Mopars. No love at this show.

Mopars are vastly outnumbered at most car shows. Unfortunately, they don't win as many trophies as Chevys and Fords.

I have been constantly disappointed due to club favoritism and clueless spectators.

In the past, I felt that my SRT was a top three car but didn't win anything. I now only attend car cruises.

^^ I've noticed that as well. I still enjoy attending just to hang out with car folks. Nothing else to do on some Saturdays so chilling out with cool cars and their owners always appeals to me.

I have so many trophies anyway from the decades I have attended shows it just doesn't matter anymore. I accidentally broke one of my large '3 footers' last year and I really did not mind since it took up so much space. When I won it I would have been devastated if I broke it. Now

I get the no love for mopars also at shows also. every once in a while I will snag an award but never have won a peoples choice award. You get all kinds of lookers and compliments on your car from the ones that attend, but it is what it is....

^^ It's interesting to hear from you and others about the lack of awards at the shows for Mopars.
I was told many times that this part of the country (Carolinas, Georgia) is Ford country with it's ties to the moonshine past, but hearing from other parts of the country it is apparently commonplace for Mopars to get overlooked.
