Does anyone know where to find Challenger die cast or plastic models. I have the SXT and have been unable to find any that aren't higher trim models. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
There is no SE or SXT in the Modern Kits they dont feel they are worthy of something like that. All they bothered with RT / SCAT / SRT / Demon / Hellcat / Drag Pack.
One thing you can try is to buy a diecast R/T with (minimal) black striping. You can CAREFULLY wipe off the black stripes with lacquer thinner to expose the paint underneath. Wet a rag with the thinner and wipe across the black paint. (Don't have the rag dripping wet.) It will start to come off w/o much difficulty. Just don't have the thinner sitting wet on the paint for too long so the body color doesn't start to come off. It's okay to let it dry between wipes, any smearing will come off with the next wipe. I've done several models this way with good success. The engine bay won't be correct so keep the hood closed.
Thanks for the ideas. I know the SXT isn't the head turner the higher trim models are but as a daily driver, it's perfect for me. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
Dab over it with either semi-gloss or gloss black paint or try a permanent black marker. Sand the tip of a toothpick to knock the point off which will leave the wood a little fuzzy. That should pick up just enough paint to cover the emblem without slopping it over a larger area.
How about sending an Email to the Model Car Companies, like the Rallye Wheels for these Gen III's I got tired of reading It can't be done, If it could be they would of already done it. After sending Emails they became reality, reach out the more that does that then it can possibly happen. Worse they can do is not answer you or say no. AMT / MPC Models Email is [email protected]
I have a 2013 SXT and it is a great car especially now with gas prices. The V6 has ample pick up when needed on highway driving. I have never had to paste wax the clear coat finish and still at 9 years old get atta boys, and complements from all who see her. She turns heads. Other than a bummer rust issue now fixed, that I posted about 2 years ago, it has been an outstanding car, and I have owned many cars in my time. She just turned 43,000 mile.
