    This is an interesting video highlighting the most underrated classic muscle cars (1965-1971), from a horsepower standpoint.

    To fool the insurance companies and make these thinly disguised race cars more competitive at the drag strip, car manufacturers used various tricks, such as using smaller carbs., milder cams, restrictive exhaust manifolds, conservative timing, pump gas, and lower rpm testing.
