O.K. I was going to post these to BITCH about the outcome,
but the Pics actually turned out to look BETTER than I was seeing while applying this.

I had tried just the MOTHERS Restore and made it worst,
so I ordered the Mothers BACK to BLACK Cleaner.

What do you guys use on the Plastic?
That is, those of you who don't trade in your Challenger before the 1st oil change.

I periodically use Mother's Back to Black on the black plastic around the taillights and am pleased with the results.

However, if yours is truly mottled as it appears in picture #3, I think I'd reapply and hope it evens out.

They also make an aerosol version that does a nice job under the hood.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer and Turtle Wax Ice Premium Car Care Liquid Wax.

Yea, pic #3 cleaned up after a little work.
    I was trying for a 1/2 & 1/2 Before/After

We will see how long it lasts
The strips on the roof are the worst :(
But I guess it is a 9 year old car now, but only has 24k miles

This may sound ridiculous but to clean the black plastic before putting on any protectant I use WD40. Keep applying and rubbing it off. Might take multiple times but you’ll be surprised at how much junk comes off onto the rag.

Thanks, I'll try that on the roof strips.
I think it is just caked with WAX

It should work for those strips. Let the WD40 sit on the strips for a little bit before rubbing off.

There are many plastic restorers around from manufacturers such as Meguiars, Turtle Wax, Chemical Guys, Adams, Mother's, etc.

Here are three video in which a variety of restorers were tested.

Tape off the Light and the body areas with Painters Masking Tape 3m Blue the Bondo product and use this with some foam applicators apply two light coats you can get a multi pack of foam brushes at the dollar tree... After two light coats and about 20 mins between coats. If any gets on paint can wipe off with a Soft Cloth or Scotch Blue Paper Towel lightly moist with 50 / 50 water and rubbing alcohol.
