I am betting any Challenger, or Charger with a performance V8 will keep it's value into the future. Which is good for us, or our heirs.

I honestly expect all modern Challengers to depreciate over the long haul to worthless. There might be a couple of really low volume cars such as the 2018 Demon that find their way into the hands of collectors who won't worry much about parts availability because they won't actually drive them.

The problem as I see it boils down to the insane number of electronic parts and multiple tiers of manufacturers involved in so many of the parts that make a modern car "go" and function. Go out 30 years and this is in no way I could ever describe similar to what a buyer would face today as he tries to resurrect or keep a 50+ year old Challenger Running today.

The first "go around" of Muscle cars in the 1960s and very early 1970s featured cars that were stupid simple and incredibly easy to keep running. This will not be the case for any modern Challenger. As the factory begins to abandon parts production for them, after 10 years, it will be up to the after market to "step up" and fill the void. Too many specific bits and pieces today make this very hard to imagine. Then there is the rapid move toward everything from EV to autonomous vehicle tech. It's all coming and in a world where the only place you may be allowed to actually drive a car will be on a closed coarse it's awfully hard to imagine any real demand for anything short of the most incredibly low volume and ICONIC cars.

I see virtually no path for the cars of today that looks at all like the path to collectable "wins" that resembles the ICONIC rides of the 1960s and early '70s.

It leads me to say, "I'll take care of my Challenger" but I'm enjoying and driving it without any delusions of keeping it or socking it away for future appreciation. I really do think we're headed into a world where far more than just V8s go away in the future. Autonomous driven vehicles look very likely to push self driven vehicles from the roadway entirely over the next couple of decades. If this happens as it's looks like it will it'll take down any chance for a repeat of what we saw with the ICONIC winners from 50-60 years ago for sure but even if that doesn't happen the complexity and difficult to source parts will also be a killer of value as time passes.

The EV fad is already dead. Most people are replacing them with ICE vehicles, or at least hybrids.

There are companies that can repair electronic parts.

It's a total different generation as well. The Internet & social media has made newer generations lazy with limited to no ambition or enthusiasm.

All is not lost. When this current generation of fatherless children dies off in 70 years, or 25 if they are Vegan, then the generations raised with a father will take over, yes>?

I do not see much youth at car shows, or the track. So good chance we are the dinosaurs.
