My name is Tom from Seguin, Texas and I just purchased a 2012 SRT8, 6 speed, Black on Black, with some basic performance mods. This is my second late gen Challenger and I'm looking forward to using the groups combined knowledge to help me with future mods/repairs.
Welcome Tom! Fairly new myself. The people here are knowledgeable and friendly. I have learned quite a bit. First car like this Ive ever owned, but so happy with mine! Plenty of people with great answers here. Gorgeous car! Im sure you find what you need.
Congratulations on your new Challenger. You will love owning and driving it! To get a real appreciation for the Challenger, I would recommend that you read all of the informative interviews of the designers of the 2006 Challenger concept and the 2008 production car. They really give you incredible insight into how the retro-styled Challenger evolved from the drawing board to reality. For you other guys, a second look is also worthwhile! 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 1 - YouTube 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 2 - YouTube 2008 Challenger Designer Interview -- Segment 3 - YouTube Designer Interview ; Segment 4 - 2009 Challenger - YouTube Designer Interview; Segment 6 - 2009 Challenger - YouTube Dodge Challenger: Exterior Styling - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 1 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 2 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 3 - YouTube Challenger Designers Castiglione and Barrington Pt. 4 - YouTube Challenger Designers Castiglione and Barrington Pt. 5 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 6 - YouTube Challenger Designers - Castiglione and Barrington, Part 7 - YouTube
Thank you for the kind words. I'm really glad I went with the 6 spd option for my "play" car. I haven't owned a standard trans for a few years, but really enjoy rowing through the gears!
Row, row, row, your boat while the rear envirofreaks scream Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream!
Very nice looking Challenger. I know you will enjoy it they bring a smile to your face every time you push the go pedal!
