Looking for some testimonials about purchases i.e. what kind of deal ya got.

I'm in the holding pattern until about October 2012.

Wondering if used vs New is a good option.

Wondering if the SRT is the best buy (NO SE models 4 me)

The R/T with the 5.7 Hemi is a great car. I own one. The SRT is a beast. If used is an option, you might be able to get an SRT for the price of a new R/T. Mine only had 9 miles on it when I bought it, so every mile has been put on by me. Do some research and see what fits your budget. Good luck with your choice. The Challenger is an AWESOME car. Also welcome to the forum.

Welcome Aboard! The "right" used car is always a good find... IF you can find it :)
Since you have several months before you're ready, I'd say "keep your eyes open".
In the meantime, pull up a chair, stay a while, read a bit and enjoy yourself here.

Welcome to ChallengerForum! I was planning on buying a new Header Orange SRT M6 but when I got to the dealer he had a used Green With Envy SRT M6 with 3800 miles that was traded in the night before. Original owner was a 45 YO female that I met at a car show a couple months before. Real nice lady that I know didn't beat on it, I could tell she was scared of it. After comparing notes on the color, I decided GWE was the way to go. Paid 38K last November, never a regret. Look around, good deals are out there.

    Highly Recommend!

Bought a 2012 R/T Hemi Challenger about 3 months ago. I think you will prefer it over the Camaro and Mustang. I am short, so seeing out of the rear view of the Camaro was impossible. The Mustang was very nice, but for my needs, the trunk was too small. My Challenger is not a daily driver, but so much fun when I take it out for shows and what not.

R/T is a great deal $1500 rebate and dealer discounts, don't wait!

SRT is amazing if you buy used or have an extra 15k

also Dealer said engine warrenty was not as good on the new SRT?
