I thought that it would be interesting to see how many of us own, or previously owned, a classic MOPAR (Dodge or Plymouth) from the late 60s to early 70s? I owned a 1971 340 'Cuda and a 1968 Dodge Charger 383.

Back in the early 70s in high school, my FIRST car was a 1964 Plymouth sport fury, my second high school car was a 1968 Dodge Charger, then after high school, sold the 68 charger & my girl friend somehow talked me into buying a 72 firebird Esprite, didn't like it all that much, traded it for a 1973 mustang mach 1, loved that car but then, another mopar called to me, it was a 1969 Dodge Charger that was in a movie with peter fonda & vic morrow, sold the mach 1 & got the 69 charger. I repaired the movie damage and when I got it almost to where I wanted it, body work, fresh paint, engine work etc. & then I let her ( GIRL FRIEND) drive me to work and use the car that day and SHE TOTALS IT, SHE LET HER 13 YEAR OLD SISTER DRIVE IT ON A SIDE STREET & ENDED UP ON THE FREEWAY ONRAMP IS SAN FRANCISCO AND WIPED IT OUT ! they were not hurt but the car was. AFTER we parted ways I then I bought a 72 ford truck met my future wife and 2 years later bought an 85 Dodge RAM CHARGER great truck. kept it for 13 years and got chevy Silverado Z71 4X4 a 96, then a 99,returned that one to the dealer because of an electrical problem that they could not fix, they got me into a brand new 2003 GMC Sierra at below their cost and I still have that truck today. back in 1998 my wifes parents gave us her grandmas 1989 Plymouth horizon which had 35000 miles on it and in 2013 IT ONLY HAD 56000 MILES ON IT traded it on a new 2014 Subaru forester AWD for the new wife of 30 years and that same month bought my 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T so I always came back to MOPAR even after straying off the MOPAR path.

Have had a few and worked on a few more.

Me - first Mopar was a 1974 Plymouth Satellite, also had a couple Challengers. Last one was a 1972 in plum crazy purple (paint code 999) that I sold to a fellow in Sweden back in 2007.

Friends - 1974 Satellite Sebring Plus, 1966 Coronet R/T, 1972 Dart, 1968 Dart, 1969 Dart GTS, countless Challengers, Chargers and Cudas
