Racer X did an interesting comparison between the Challenger SXT and Camaro V6.

Based on an average of three 0-60 mph runs, the Camaro was slightly faster. It averaged 6.13 sec. against the Challenger's 6.38 sec.

The Challenger's performance was impressive, however, since it has 30 less horsepower than the Camaro and weighs 500 lbs. more.

My bone stock SXT Plus did 0-60 in 5.9.

Numerous variables in play. Road condition, air temperature, density altitude, tire pressure and condition... could go on.

The vid is averaging 3 tests in each car done on the same day at roughly the same time of day, in the same place and measured with the same tracking tool... and we are talking tenths of a second difference. That's about as accurate and "fair" of a comparison as you are going to get.

Weight and HP to Weight , Gear Ratio's , Tires, etc., apples to grapes comparison.

Camaro is also was offered with a Manual Trans BTW
Camaro Rear End Gear Ratios 3:08, 3:27, and a 3:42 offered
Majority of the SXT is 2:56 unless you get the 3:07 Blacktop Package....

    335 horsepower Camaro
    284 pound-feet Camaro Torque

    305 horsepower SXT
    268 pound-feet SXT Torque

Those play into the equation among other things

The Mustang Ecoboost is also one to consider (4 cyl turbo).

What is the final drive ratio from engine to rear tires on an SXT versus Camaro?
What matters most is the torque multiplication overall
Also, the Challenger is way more handsome, has better interior space, is Mopar, is not a Chevrolet, and is not a Camaro.
The Camaro is a weird, often-shifting look that has no real identity, unlike the Challenger.
I bet the Camaro weighs less, if I had to guess.
But, hey, a Maserati Granturismo weighs more than a Hellcat, but it'll do 200mph with only 440hp. Not everything is light weight.

One of the largest short comings of the Challenger offerings for the automatics is the limited rear diff ratio. I've had to source the diff from a standard trans car (went with the 3.91) in order to improve my performance. My rear diff ratio change has improved my hole shot, 0-60 performance and beyond tremendously.
