I didn't hear him reference using E85 or not as the record holder did?

Congrats, I'd be very pleased with those runs. The car is picking up a solid 30 mph in the back half, and the 60' is there, the 330' in better DA is where you are going to drop your et to the 1/8 mile. Would you mind sharing what your IC cluster showed for the ethanol content on these passes, and what was the injector duty cycle, and did it go into cat over temp. Maybe try a second gear launch next time, that will slow down the 60' a little, however it may tame the wheel stand and net a faster et. Thanks

Agreed the car was almost doing too big of a wheelie, which might be hurting my time to the 330.. just trying to gather up momentum after the rebound. Unfortunately I can do a second gear launch without tuning it.. the 170 kicks you out of 2nd in track mode. Ethanol was reading 78% but I didn’t check the log for injector duty cycle .. I am fairly certain based on how it was running that it did not go into cat over temp

@RacerX9 As I understand it, just before you pre stage activate the line lock while in track mode, paddle shift into second gear, then release the OK button, creep forward and stage the car. It should then think it's doing a burnout and will stay in second gear. I haven't tried it yet in mine as it's in storage, however I'm sure it will work, you can try it on the street to test the theory.

 

It's difficult finding enough info to be certain but with his vehicles ethanol sensor reading at 78% it's possible he could've gone faster than he did. The car will go just as fast on gas with a high enough octane level. Ethanol actually requires greater fuel pump energy due to increased volume requirements. In my area it's cheap octane selling at 2/3-3/4 the price of 87 octane. To go beyond a 40% mix in my applications requires a pump upgrade.

We loved that character in Speed Racer the cartoon. But we don't like that idiot on YouTube who wrecked a Mustang and tried to buy a Corvette.
