What are members using as an OBD scan tool that provides more info than current / active fault codes? Would be helpful pre purchase.

That retails at $6k US. There are lot's of products being used for this purpose priced under $400. Looking for member recommendations on those priced tools.

A $400.00 scan tool will not do the job for us not for what my business does LOL, we work on all US makes and some Asian vehicles and when we need help we have live info at our finger tips ..sounds like a Walmart scan tool is all you need. and by the way the snap - on Triton was not $6K

I can read codes and clear fault, monitor many engine functions at the same time in real time.
Plus the ability to reprogram many functions in the body computer like turn off the driving/fog lights off with high beams, etc.
You can go to the website and check out the features.
I also downloaded the AlphaOBD program to use with it which is very useful with making changes.

Even Forscan compatible, I have dabbled with that before. Turned of Auto Start, and Stop. Added descent control to my truck, plus a few other things.

I use a Diablo tuner my truck has locked to it to do any codes scans, as well as three different levels of performance/character tunes.

The OP is not looking for a tuner
    He wants as scan tool.
Plus if you get a custom tune, you we will like the gains a lot more than the canned tunes.
