Considering an RT. Hard to get details. Is there a difference in the exhaust you get between an RT and an RT Shaker? If so, is it considerably different?

I have an SRT, but I believe that there is no difference. Only the 392 has an active exhaust.

R/T Auto is slightly quieter than the 6 spd.

My 2014 R/T (6 speed) got louder after a few thousand miles and I found out this is normal, and very welcome. Sounds awesome. I get compliments on the sound all the time.

I can verify that the 6 speed is louder and throatier than the automatic.

Thanks for the replies. I almost had to take a course in exhaust to learn what I can and can't do on these cars. Automatics are quieter because of the different set up to eliminate drone at certain RPM. I had to learn as I have an automatic RT Shaker now ordered :)

My 2017 R/T plus with the black top package has an active exhaust. Makes it sound like a "real" car!!

Is that now an option for any RT or is it part of the blacktop package?

    (I have a 2014 RT 6 speed)

too tell you the truth, since 2011 the Se, Rt have had dual exhaust with the dual bottle mufflers, you can take the resonators off and you will have one bad ass sounding car. I know a friend how put a 2010rt muffler system on his 2009, The Rt in 2010 started getting the bottle mufflers at the factory, he put those on his 09 Rt and I couldn't believe the sound. that is the cheapest way to go .

My 2013 automatic has a drone that is unbelievable at times. Resonator delete?
