Same here. I only drive in the winter when the roads are dry and free of salt.

I met a guy that would ride his Harley Decker all winter when he could...his bike was 10 years old and he had replaced his fenders twice......WHY?
That salt dust gets everywhere and without some type of protection will eat your investment. Our Journey had dealer applied undercoating and also gets oil guarded as well.

I plan on buying a southern Challenger (looking at two now...San Diego and Oklahoma City) and having it oil-sprayed when I get it.

    Salt is fricking evil.

Doesn't oil spray have to be applied every year?

It does if you drive it all winter. I had an issue last year with our Journey holding water in the door cavities. I found the oil spray had mixed with some crud in the bottom of the doors and plugged the drains. Now I take a small tie wrap out and clean the drain openings every time i wash it to make sure it drains properly.

Yes, usually. Still cheaper than rust.
