For what it's worth, I understand the historical significance of the "Scat Pack" name, but I still hate it. In this day and age, no one under the age of ~63 remembers the Rat Pack term (I'm 58 and had never heard of that term before getting this car....I do remember the individual celebrities, of course), and the word "scat" is a synonym for feces. The few times I've mentioned my car around normies, I say "392" instead.

My dad used to watch Dean Martin show, he would get lit on stage with Martinis, and smoke a cigarette. Oh the good old days. And none of it turned me into an alcoholic, or a smoker.

I learned the origin of the term, after I got my car.

That is only one meaning of the word. According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, another meaning for scat is:

"to go away quickly or to move fast."

I do, but most people would not understand it, but the scat pack was fine . R.T.S. I thought was more bold. and the scat pack lives on. that's my opinion.
