    Hello.

Took my 2010 srt8 to get brake pads changed. After they were done he told me to turn the car on and step on the brake. Brake went all the way down after about 6 tob10 pumps it got harder. So I left but now I have to press hard to brake. Significant difference from before they were changed. Going back tomorrow to see what went wrong. Any ideas?

    Thx

    Were the rotors replaced?

A warped or bent brake rotor could be one possible cause of your problem. This can cause the brake pedal to be hard to press if the brake pads are rubbing against the rotor.

Out of round rotors cause a brake pedal pulsation. If the pedal's not travelling and you're coming to a stop in a reasonable distance you'll probably be ok and it will improve during break-in period but good idea to check back with mechanic. I had a neighbor who returned to the shop to learn that the pads had been put on 'backwards' if you can believe it (the steel was contacting the rotor and not the pad material, it was quite noisy as you can imagine)!

Is it same to assume that with new brake pads, once i press on the brakes even a little it should start to brake even faster then before?
