Now before you all blow me up, I Acknowledge the Following:

    1. The Engine was designed and tested for the existing Shaker.
    2. The top of the hood touched the Air filter box.
    3. The Hellcat Air box may be a 2nd CAI option if you customize it.
    4. No matter how much air you throw at it, the throttle body can only use so much.

    With that said:

    1. I don't like the open air filter. Still think too much Hot Air is being recirculated back through the engine.
    2. To many curves and to far for air to travel from Shaker to Throttle Body for how small the tubing is in current config.
    3. Think she needs a 2nd CAI option to make up for the default's short comings.
    4. Installed an 80mm Throttle Body with a Spacer.

    Questions:

    1. Who makes a Closed Top Air Filter that will fit a Shaker?
    2. Does anyone make a Snorkel CAI that will also work with a Shaker?

Goal is to give her as much Cold Air as Possible. I would buy a Closed Air Filter Box with a Snorkel Option that fits a Shaker, even though it may do absolutely nothing for performance improvement.

    Suggestions?

I have no suggestion or recommendation but I also would prefer a closed air filter, mainly for aesthetics. Otherwise I really like the Shaker except for having to remove it to put in oil. No big deal but some things can always be improved.

Couldn't you use a flexible funnel or a transmission fluid funnel to pour in the oil?

Flexible funnel works for me. Don't need to take off Shaker.

I just took a photo, and it was tough to do, so sorry about the angle. Is this really the tight area you put the funnel?? No mess? The dealership has removed the Shaker each time it has been in the shop for oil changes.

that's one thing I don't like about the Mopar shaker, you have to take it off to put oil in it, I have the Cervini shaker system and a flex funnel works just fine for adding oil.

Personally for me I would prefer the other hood with the center air intake and two screens that allow hot air out of engine compartment. Otherwise I would probably get the shaker for cosmetic reasons but what sways me away from the shaker is that you MUST remove that shaker and also remove the bottom tray just to change the oil and filter. I will remove the bottom tray but the shaker is just that much more stuff to remove and bolts to loose.
