    Hey guys,
I've been chasing the source of an evap leak to no avail and have spent well over $3K replacing parts to try and stop the check engine light from coming on. I've pretty much replaced everything that could be causing it and give up. I'm looking for advice on a good OBD-2 code reset device so I can just clear the check engine light when it pops up every 2-3 months. I give up trying to find the source.

I was looking at the Foxwell NT301 as an option but am wondering if it's better to get one that can be bidirectional in case I ever need that function. Can you guys recommend one that isn't too expensive, maybe mid-grade $$, that would be a good device for a novice like myself. Also, is it better to go ahead and splurge and get a bidirectional one now or just get a basic one that can read and clear codes?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I use a $10 OBDII to bluetooth adapter from ebay and the Torque app on my Android phone. That has so far done everything I needed to do on the Challenger. I’ve since bought an Icarsoft scanner and an Autel scanner, both to use on my wife’s Jag. I wasn’t that impressed with the iCarsoft, the Autel is pretty good and has more functionality.

I use the AlfaOBD 2 with he mx+ blue tooth. It's been great. I've used it on my Ram, Chrysler and Challenger. Lots of options.

Did you smoke test the system to see if you have a leak somewhere?
