I was re-arranging some of my petroliana hobby collectibles and thought I would share some photos of my Sunoco 4 oz oilers & lighter fluid cans dating as far back as 1937 (the lead spout tops).

Every year or two they would come out with a different version, sometimes just a few fonts were changed or the spout, or something else minor. I like the gas pumps on the rear of these Sunoco tins.

Esso and Shell had even more varieties and colors. I limited myself or otherwise you would have 30+ cans from each oil company. Rare versions, especially from small oil companies, fetch hundreds of dollars.

These Sunoco tins range from about $20 - $60 each. Condition is key and NOS (new old stock) cost the most. Each of my plastic spout cans is NOS. It can take a long time to find one. I have been collecting for many years.

Seeing all the other items you've posted before and what's on the shelves behind these oil cans, your collection is unbelievable, like looking at a museum shelf. (I like your floor too, just had mine done!)

    ^^^ Thanks so much! :)
The floor is just indoor/outdoor carpet but it makes it real nice. My Trans Am is usually the car in this 'extra' garage I have.

Looked like an epoxy floor coating... thanks for clarifying.

It does look like epoxy! I didn't even realize that. I wish...
