I liked this movie as much as the first one. It was neat to know that the p51 that Tom flu at the end was his personal plane!
Plan to see it at some point. The negative critic reviews on rotten tomato's describe some of the traps fallen into by sequels (though the vast majority of critics are on board). Not convinced from the trailer's that many of the sequel characters weren't miscast / misses in terms of believability.
Here was Kelly McGillis' honest response to Entertainment Tonight why she wasn't in the new movie: ET asked her if she was contacted to appear in the new film. "Oh my God no they did not, and nor do I think they would ever," she said. "I'm old, and I'm fat, and I look age-appropriate for what my age is. And that is not what that whole scene is about."
The original is a masterpiece. I won't be watching the sequel a second time (an unintended, badly written parody).
