Hey all! I've tried to do my due diligence and search for a solution to a prob....so I really am sorry if I just haven't found it and this is repetitive.
2012 r/t challenger 170k miles no extras just stock 3.6l....
Lately the traction control light is coming on intermittently as well as the traction control OFF light. After driving for a while or even as soon as it starts up they both come on or... Sometimes they don't come on for a day or so. Any suggestions? All my searches pull up wheel sensors when the ABS light is on as well but the abs has yet to come on.
Think I'm looking at a module? I'm gonna check the fuses this afternoon.
    Thank all!!!

With that mileage I'd look at the wheel sensors since they're exposed to the outdoor environment. A scanner in the OBD2 port may show you a few additional codes beside the antilock code to help pinpoint the problem.

Ty!!!! That's my next plan as well... my scanner doesn't seem to hook up very well and I think I need an adapter for Dodge so I'll do that. Ty!!

Ty so much!!! I've checked a couple of things since then but it's sounding like it's boiling down to a speed sensor like y'all mentioned. Ty again!

Here's an interesting turn of events.... The aforementioned Challenger is my fiance's... See where im headed?
Well. Yesterday she said that the little oil can light blinked. I checked the oil and dang if it wasn't like 2qts low!!!!!! Just had it changed like 1k miles ago!!
So anyway ... Put replaced a couple if quarts and ....
Traction control light hasn't come on since.

That all being said... I think there's a bigger prob w the oil and when I pulled the codes this week there's a prob w the camshaft position sensor and ambient air sensor too.
    Confusing.

Did they put the proper amount of oil back in during the oil change? That's a lot of oil to lose so quickly. It would either be puddling under the car or smoking out the exhaust. The under body engine cover can hold some oil from an oil leak, but not that much.

Agreed! I'm thinking they didn't fill it correctly. And yes no puddles and it's not smoking a bit.

I've been theorizing and wondering if the low oil sensor sent a message to the computer to cut power to save the engine and the only way it can do that is thru the traction control system.

No lights at all since I put more oil in.

Sounds like either they went cheap on the oil OR it may be time to examine the car to see what else may be wrong under there, like a loose oil pan plug, I cringe to suggest.

Edit: congrats on being able to get the parts in the first place, AND that it is all fixed up now!
