Some guys have installed rear window louvers on the Challengers to get that 70s retro look. Quality ones are made of aluminum and cost about $570. Cheap plastic ones are half the price. An interesting thing about the factory louvers in the 70s Challengers and 'Cudas is that they came as a package with a black vinyl roof. I didn't want a vinyl roof on my Rallye-Red 1971 'Cuda, so I ordered the louvers through parts and installed them myself. It was a scary installation because I had to drill two holes for the hood pin studs at the base of the rear window and six smaller holes, in the roof (3 each side), for the hinges. Luckily, everything turned out great. I like the fact that the new reproductions do not require any drilling. Anytime, you drill a hole in the exterior of your car, there is a potential for water leaks. Here are two of the worse looking plastic ones that I have seen.
