Assume the gas mileage savings are almost as significant (he's heavier) as they are in my 'Armed' BMW's (26 mpg in mostly city driving). The 20-30% E85 use brings the fuel cost down even further. As fond as I am of my Challenger it's not the driving experience of the 335's once done.

I prefer the looks of the Challenger.

Hard to say. My car is in the shop right now because I stretched the timing chain. My mechanic and tuner both said it's a common issue on the Pentastar. I'm replacing everything I can with upgraded parts. As long as I keep my oil level where it's supposed to be, it should never happen again. Apparently if the oil gets low it doesn't lubricate the timing chain well enough and it gets hot, leading to it stretching and throwing a code. Common as the Hemi tick in the V8's I'm told. I bought my car to drive it, so I figured I'd break stuff eventually.

Is it possible to get a stronger timing chain setup, or better yet, a set of gears with an intermediate gearset between crank and head gears to keep rotation/cams the same?

The V6 calls for a set of timing GEARS.

Edit: SOMEONE NEEDS TO BUILD AND SELL A SET OF CAM GEARS FOR THE V6!
Heck, if a Detroit Diesel can have one, why not us?

My mechanic is upgrading every part he can. I've had my car for 4 years and never once checked the oil. I assumed since it was a newer car that it didn't burn any oil, and after I put the supercharger in I've changed it every 3000 miles, so I figured I didn't have to check the oil. My own fault this happened. Both my tuner and mechanic said this is a common problem on the Pentastar engine, kind of a design flaw like that of the V8 that causes the Hemi tick. I'll probably eventually need new lifters and rockers as well according to them.

Another strike against the V6 for performance potential?
