There is a recall of the vapor canisters installed on 2015-2016 Challengers, as well as other Dodge models.

The charcoal canister or vapor canister works by absorbing the fumes that the fuel in your tank produces as a byproduct. Instead of these fumes being vented out into the atmosphere, they’re absorbed by your canister.

A faulty charcoal canister might cause a check engine light, difficulty refueling, poor engine performance, excessive fuel odor, or reduced fuel economy.

The Canadian recall number is UB4.

Did they just extend this recall to Canada?

I had this recall done many, many months ago. It was very quick. I think I was out of the dealership in less than an hour.

It was only about 10 years ago that I realized that recalls didn't happen in all countries at the same time.

You'd think that the US and Canada could/would work together to issue recalls at the same time. After all ... it's the same vehicles these days.
