In response to Amazon's move last year into the $48 billion U.S. aftermarket auto parts market, Walmart has partnered with Advance Auto Parts to open an auto parts specialty store on walmart.com. during the first half of 2019. It will offer home delivery service and same day pick-up of orders, as well as the installation of some parts at Advance locations. Advance has more than 5,000 stores where it sells auto parts, accessories and maintenance products. Tom Greco, the CEO of Advance, stated that the "partnership with Walmart enables us to share our extensive product offering and trusted advice with an increased number of do-it-yourself customers and supports our long-term strategic objectives." This healthy competition between Amazon and Walmart can only be good for us, the consumers.
