Ive replaced the factory 6x9 door speakers with some JBL GT7-96 I would like to put a pair in the back too. and with a sub would be nice I see in your pictures they look like 6x9s ...Are those 6x9s in the rear deck too? Because every one says there only 6.5" speakers in the rear deck? Please help clarify the mystery... Did you have to cut that hole for the 8" Sub or is it factory? I think with a 4 channel amp wired mono to the sub and stereo to a pair of rear deck speakers would sound Awesome. Please respond !!
So for my 2015 I have following Door panels (2) 6x9 Front dash (3) 3.5in Rear deck (2) 6.5in and (1) 8in sub w/o enclosure (2) Rockford amps (1) for door, dash and rear deck and (1) for sub and both amps are tied to LC7i audio controller They did not have to cut anything for the Sub but could not fit an enclosure like originally hoped so it is open air flow. Decent amount of bass but there are some frequencies it just can't handle Hope this helps
Hello everyone, I'm new here and I need a little help, I have a dodge challenger R / T 2017 and I want to change the whole audio system, so little research, the car has 6 speakers of which I only find 4, in the doors and in the front. my intention is to change all the most powerful speakers and a pair of subwoffe 12 "with a good Amp. Can you give me some idea, like brand, model. Thank you
* Quite a task. You must have the B.A. 6 Speaker set-up as I. You should be aware that the B.A. System is a 2 OHM impedance, not 4 Ohms. The 2 Ohm provides more power but the separation is not 'stereo'; mostly monoaural. I was a radio tech for some time (trouble shooter). There is a great deal to contend with. I researched for over six months and decided to leave the system alone. Naturally, if you are inclined, be prepared to make a huge amount of changes. If you have sirius, that poses another issue as all electronics are tied into the steering wheel. There are far too many variables and the cost is not worth the effort. Know what you're getting into before jumping the gun.
I was planning on replacing the factory door 6x9 speakers, but was told that without an amp I would really not be able to tell the difference. What would you say?
