Was told by my seller Dodge dealer parts dept. that they do no offer a trunk fitting spare tire and rim for my 2017 R/T with the Black Top package 20" Al- rims. I do have that "compressor". Anyone know if this is correct? Any after-market? Doesn't make since to drive around without a spare as I travel a fair amount!

If you were closer, I'd trade with ya! We have a 2016 R/T with Blacktop Package and it came with a spare tire.

I actually bought the steel rim and temp tire so I would have one in mine. Tire cost more than the rim.

2017? 20" rims? I also have the blacktop package. Where did you get the rim?

    Thanks in advance!

the spare for ours is a 18" temp tire. last I checked, our cars don't come with full size spares, just the 18" temp tires or the air pumps.

I bought the steel rim from my dealer at a cost of about $100 and got the spare temp tire from a friend who works at a tire store.

mine is a 2009 RT. my wife had a 2011 SE Rally that had the 18" temp spare tire from the factory.

I'm having the same issue. I have a 2017 SXT with Blacktop Package (factory 20" wheels) and I was told by FactoryChryslerParts.com that chrysler requires a full size spare for my VIN. Why can we not use an 18" compact spare for our cars?

If it's an issue of unmatched wheel size hurting the rear differential, surely a double tire swap (putting the good front tire on the rear and the spare on the front) would solve that problem?
