I started filling up with 89 and my car seems smoother and a bit more power . AWD GT.

When I got it i was told to use 87.

    Chime in please.

Does the manual say 87 acceptable 89 recommended? I would run 89 anyway.

my first challenger was an 2009 SE with the 3.5L..... I had a predator Tuner for it and ran the 89 tune and 89 octane gas. but even before I put the tuner on it, I still ran 89 octane with no problems

I have a '13 SXT Challenger n I ran High Test and it "seemed" to make a difference, BUT since I've been running a DS 91 Canned Tune, it REALLY woke that 6 up! After a while I tried No Ethanol 91 and not only did it give me MORE power I'm also getting 5-7+ more mpg! Of course, I NEED to keep my foot up more than dn :) When you figure you'll be getting more mpg's, then No Ethanol isn't that much more expensive. I also (according to my Stihl chain saw n Leaf Blower manual) run 89, No Ethanol in them cause they'll run cooler. Soooo ....

Pure-Gas.org to find non-ethanol gas where you live. Search by State and then by City. You might be surprised to find stations near you that you didn't know were selling non-ethanol gas. I've found here, in central PA, that most Gulf stations only have 91 that's non-ethanol. You'll have to give it a good chance, i.e., 2 tank fills or at least fill up when ur really low so ur burning it undiluted with the other gas. I have to admit it's hard to look at that price tag when you're done filling. AND also surprising to drive it all week and notice you still have a lot of gas left. My Challenger is my DD, at least till it snows. In the 27 months I've owned it I've put 32K miles on it. I can't wait to get an Overkill Tune and see what that does.
