Hello, I'm think of buying a 2015 Scat Pack and came across this engine that has some mods. I know about the strut tower brace and the oil catch can, but I don't see an air-box for the air-intake coming from the hollow headlight. It must have an air filter somewhere, right? Any other mods I've missed? Also, what do you think a fair price is with this engine, DRIVER CONVENIENCE GROUP, LEATHER INTERIOR GROUP, and 30k miles?
the air filter has been run down to the lower grille area. I did that with my first one I had. get cooler air that way direct from that lower grille. just a pain in the ass to get to it to clean it, but it is a good source for cold air. Catch can and strut bar mods are pretty simple. now looking at that pic, it looks like a 392 is in it. bargain the hell out of it to get that car. not sure what market price is or what they want for it. but its easier to walk away , than come out with payment you are not liking.
Thanks for the reply! I'll go for a test drive this weekend and try to spot some more mods, but I'm new to Challengers. Any other mods I should look for?
Another upgrade I saw was Matte Black wheels, not listed on the "original sticker" (worth $1,000?). BTW - $27,000 is much to low (in Florida) for a 2015 Scat Pack.
KBB has it at $30,631 trade in value in the range of 29k to 32k. so you can go from there. again, that is one price in excellent condition.
Thanks again for the quick reply. I was hoping someone would say the mods would bring more value to the car. So the Mods don't mean anything?
Mods typically do not bring more value to the car. Particularly if through a dealer. EDIT: Did you happen to see the 15 scat pack for sale on his forum? https://www.challengerforum.com/threads/custom-2015-dodge-challenger-scat-pack-for-sale.3201/ Fair number of mods that were not cheap. They didn't even bother mentioning the Hell Cat hood.
Yes, I saw the link you sent. I'm looking for a manual with back seats. And can't wait until I find a good Challenger!
