hey, I’m new to the forum. I have a 2015 challenger sxt and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on ways to improve horsepower or to open the motor up more?

your 3.6L has more HP than that older model, you can't put headers on it because the exhaust manifold is made into the head, you can do a cold air intake, cat back exhaust, and diablosport makes a tuner you can plug in to run the canned tunes which come with it, you can also adjust several settings with the tuner. other than doing a rebuild which would cost you more than what its worth. what I listed above are the simple affordable things you can do. BTW, the cost of this motor is over $9000. My dealer mechanic told that the 3.6L is the most complicated motor that Chrysler makes. Reason I know this is my wife Hydrolocked one after a rain storm and blew a hole in the motor the size of a silver dollar. and that was back in 2012.

NOW the bad news ... (from Diablosport site)

"Warning—2015-2017 Chrysler vehicles require a DiabloSport Modified PCM be installed prior to tuning"

If you do that, get the cheapest Tuner and then get a Custom Tune from Will, http://www.getoverkilled.ca/

The best results you get the highest DS canned tune, compared to Stock, is the same difference you'll get from DS to Will's Tunes! IT'S that much of a difference! Add to that 94 octane no ethanol gas and you'll see a huge difference. PLUS you can get a FREE re-tune from Will after you make changes, like a modified exhaust systems, larger TB, etc.

Flat road, traffic about 1/2 mile ahead, but I don't think I was running 94 No-Ethanol. Its does make a difference. Next time I'm running that fuel I'll have to try to get out sometime when I've got to about a half a mile of so open road to do another video.

When you say, "Add to that 94 octane no ethanol gas and you'll see a huge difference. ", is that a separate tune?

Not sure what model that video was showing but it didn't even reach 100MPH starting at 32 mph roll, after 14 sec.

'13 Challenger, 3.6L with 2.65 rear. I'm running the 93 Tune. It's faster than it was Stock AND it still gets 32-35 mpg.

From the limited amount of research that I've done 3.06 was an option that could be ordered for this model, 2013 Challenger SXT Plus. As you can see from my VIP Summary Report mine has the 2.65 (in a 200mm rear). Which contributes to the lethargy of its acceleration from a dead stop. There's a shop, not too far for me, that does an extensive amount of custom work on street rods. I'm going to have them install a new set of mufflers (Flo~Pro M11256) and while it's there he's going to service/check the rear to see what gears I can get. Hopefully I can install 3.55-3.63. Those should make it a bit more zippier and still be tall enough that I can use it as my daily driver and for trips. I KNOW that a 3.06 is doable (w/o changing the Housing), but the Investment versus Improvement isn't worth it, for me anyway.

Back to the OP's question. I think the least expensive route would be a (professionally installed and setup) Nitrous kit, say like a 75hp shot. That way you can cruise around like "normal" and when its needed you'll have about 380HP WFO.
