Most of us know that the month and year that your Challenger was made can be found on a sticker attached to the driver side door jam (first line).

But did you know that the hour that it was completed is also on the sticker?

Look for the MDH number under the VIN number line. The first two digits are the year (01= January; the second two digits are the date (15) and the last two digits are the hour (11= 11AM).

Also, on the same line, is your paint code (PQD= B5 Blue).

This one is 11-2009, currently with 17,244 (Oils Change was today)

My other one was 11 also, but 1969 (Was a very good year, of what little I can remember)

I'm having some time trying to discern the op-ed facts.

1.) First two digits = Year OR Month?
2.) Second two digits = Date? Your date reads 05, yet mfg. date states 1-15
3.) Last two digits are the hour (Apparently in a 24 Hour Mode). My last two digits state 17, so I would believe that a 24 Hr. clock is used.

Can you clarify the disparity in the stamped mfg. date as 1-15 as opposed to the MDH date as 05? My Vin has the same inconsistency.

    * PW7 states Bright White for 2013, yet PW7 for 2018 states White Knuckle. Are these the "same" color, only changing the name?

    According to Chrysler Customer Care...

MDH: Month, Day and Hour of final assembly (i.e., January 5)
Date of MFG: Month and Year of vehicle manufacture- Inspection process completion (i.e., Jan. 15).

A 24-hour (military time) time standard is used on the sticker (e.g., 17= 5PM).

For 2017, the Bright White paint name changed to White Knuckle. It is the same color with the same paint code. A guess Dodge felt that it sounded cooler.

    * Thanks very much for clarifying the issue. You do state in the initial thread that the first two digits are the 'year', and not month > 'Referring to the "MDH".

    * Actually, I personally like the White Knuckle better!

Typo. The first two digits are the month.
