On my challenger I use K&N. On my truck I use a Mopar filter.

I also agree. I just changed my oil yesterday and the belly pan is a breeze to take off

Don't mind removing the belly pan on my Charger at all. It is basically the same as the one I had on my 2015 Challenger R/T. Wish it was that easy on my Jeep Grand Cherokee The pan on the Jeep is hard to remove. The access hole put in the pan is way to small and is open all the time. Looks like they meant at one time to put in a door but never did. Very hard to get the filter off and on without spilling oil all over the top of the pan.

I'm 76 and still change my own oil. It takes two pans to drain my Challenger 7 qts. and all.

Almost 72 and do so as well. Also rotate tires and do all other routine maintenance. I only use one pan and it holds up to 15 quarts.

Did you know that Wix makes the Mopar oil filters?

Interesting. Must have changed recently. I asked this specific question of Chrysler Group LLC Customer Assistance in July 2018 by e-mail. Here is the response I received:

    "Hi David,

Thanks for your patience while I checked into this for you.

According to available information, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles)
manufacture Mopar Oil Filters. Normally, all vendor and supplier
information is proprietary but, as we are the manufacturer for this
particular part, it can be provided.

If you have any other parts & accessories related questions David, let
me know and I'll try to answer them for you.

All in service of the people who drive us.

    Sincerely,

    Jacob

    Customer Service Representative
    Mopar Customer Assistance"

What is the source for your information (That Wix is the manufacturer)? Link?

I definitely know that Wix makes the SRT oil filter.

I recall reading that it also made the standard Mopar oil filter. Maybe this has changed.

What is your source for this information? Other than the response I received from FCA, I can find nothing in writing on who manufactures Mopar filters including SRT filters.
