Check out this guy's insane project. It is a totally burned out Hellcat. Wouldn't it be much cheaper to buy a used Hellcat that is in one piece? He states that he only learned auto mechanics 7 years' ago. I think that he just wants to make money from his You Tube subscribers.

These cars are extensively weld bonded (a joint is glued, then resistance spot welded through the wet glue). That fire destroyed all of the glue bond throughout the car. The heat from the fire also destroyed all of the high strength and above advanced steel. It appears the drive train may be salvageable but little else. Maybe 1 quarter panel, 1 door shell, the platform and some brake components. The body of that car is garbage.

That project looks like a big gamble. Maybe he'll luck out if the engine is okay, he can get all the wiring harnesses for cheap and transplants it into a used high mileage or lightly damaged older Challenger.
I think he'd be better off getting a project to start on like some offered by a place here in Cleveland, Ohio. You can get project cars, used drivelines, etc. Still would have to be careful.

I'll definitely be watching his channel. I've recently really got into the guys buying cars from copart and seeing what they do with them.

I think it would be cheaper to just buy a new one.

That car is so bad it does not even qualify as junk. Why anyone would spend any time on it is beyond my comprehension.

He's just wanting the motor, which looks to be not damaged as the fire didn't come from the car, but the garage it was parked in. So that engine should be fine.

Yeah, I watched this the other day. Can't believe he's actually using that body.
