I have seen winning cars use mirrored hoods to reflect their custom engine bays. The problem is that they can cost up to $360. I thought of an inexpensive ways to do this. Simply cut out a lightweight piece of masonite and cover it with 3M mirror film. Then secure it to the underside of the hood with Velcro strips. How does this sound?
it 'sounds' really good... the question is, will you be able to get a 'smooth reflective surface' with that without ripples/waves/etc? That'd be the only thought I would have on it. But dang sure worth a try!!! Let us know how it goes
