I have a 2010 Dodge Challenger SE. I tried to start up my Challenger this afternoon and it would not turn over. It just keeps cranking. I noticed the Electronic Throttle Control light and the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) were on. I checked my battery for voltage just in case I had a battery issue, but it was fully charged. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance!
What OBD-II trouble code are you seeing? It could be: Faulty Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) harness is open or shorted Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) circuit poor electrical connection Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM) You can take it to AutoZone or do it yourself (see below). How to display the diagnostic code(s): Get in the car, close the door. Perform the following steps fairly quickly (in less than 3 seconds) : Turn key to ON then back to ACC then to ON then back to ACC then to ON If there are any stored codes, they will appear immediately, in place of the odometer. For instance an "INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH" error will set a code of P0113.
I followed the steps and this came up in place of the odometer for a few seconds: ------ then 'Done' came up. I guess that means there are no saved codes?
Unfortunately, codes for such things as a broken timing belt, failed fuel pump, failed ignition, etc. will not show up.
