392 SRT8 muffler (edit: resonator) delete

    Oh wait, I might be confused... We cut off those huge tumor-looking things near the back of the car. Are those mufflers or resonators?

    the ones in the very back right in front of the exhaust tips are the resonators. they weigh about 25lbs a peice....lol

    Oh geez, okay that's what we took out....

    I thought people said don't take out the resonators or it'll sound like shit, but god do I love the way this thing sounds... I hardly use my brakes now because I don't want to miss out on the sound I get from downshifting.

    If I'm not mistaken, I've gained some low-end torque, and lost a little at the high end.

    I deleted the resonators and swapped out the stock mufflers on my V6. Made a huge difference.

    I did a resonator delete which woke my 2010 RT up immensely. Because the PO had done a lot of work on the intake and added long tube headers but left the stock exhaust it seemed to restrict flow through the system. Once the resonators were removed I could feel better response at the pedal....and the sound is awesome.
