it might be better, but the new autos are faster...hehehe, I would love to have a 6 speed, but my knees would give out over time ...lol
It starts to suck when you're in your 60's. Had to get sell my 72 Nova SS 4 speed a few years back for the same reason. Between the lower back issues and knee pain it was getting hard to shift it in traffic. I miss shifting but its not enjoyable if it causes pain. Like the doc says, "if it hurts when you do it, stop doing it!"
I’ve had my right knee ACL rebuilt 3 times with an HTO done last session I think I’ve just got use to the pain....gotta have a fun stick!
That. 60 Next Year. I have already signed "The Waiver", like a DNR: "If I can't ride my Harley or I can't shift a Manual Trans, just shoot me." Bikes, Race/Muscle/Sport's car's and Trucks all should only come MANUAL.
Sometimes I miss the feel of shifting a manual transmission... it does feel cool af compared to manumatic. Standard transmissions can be hard to find, tho.
A manual may be more fun to drive, but if you take your car t the track, it will lose every time to a comparably equipped car with an automatic.
That sounds like an answer from someone with stick envy.... I wont be taking mine to the track, need to keep on the good side of my insurance company.
Not "stick envy," just a fact. Even Ronnie Sox, Mr. 4-Speed, couldn't beat a modern automatic. Shifts occur in milliseconds.
The idea of the automatic is to hold it in the power band longer where as the automatic decides for you. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
