I recently bought a 2014 R/T. I replaced the battery, which went dead. Right after the new battery, now I have absolutely nothing but interior dome lights and the smart windows work. The car acts like there’s no battery in it at all! I had it towed to a local dodge dealership, and now they tell me that the TIPM is toast- power going in, but nothing coming out. Tech by-passed it, and she fired right up- dying from no juice to the computer/no fuel. Has anyone else has an issue like this? Any help would be great... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi 2014RT, Glad to hear you are working with your dealer for this concern. If we can be of any additional assistance as you are working with your dealer, feel free to send us a private message. We'd be more than happy to help. ^RB
The dealer so far has been great to work with. On the other hand, evidently this TIPM issue has been going on with not only challengers, but many other models that CJD offers. Yet no recall to correct the problem. CJD did a voluntary recall on 2 models, not all- totally unacceptable. This tells me that CJD knew that this would be an issue they could make money on, leaving customers backed into a corner with a repair bill. I don’t think there is any need for a private message... have seen relatively few tipm problems with LX,LC,LA,LD cars. tipm is part of the whole harness from the rear pdc to the front tipm and a really big job. call FCA customer service 800 number they maybe able to assist you. the other tipm's you mention are of a different configuration than yours.
I have it fixed already, but I may go ahead and give them a call. It just seemed weird and very frustrating. Thanks for the info though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
