I'm used to working on trucks, and older ones at that, so I need something to avoid scratching up my car fenders & front fascia.....any ideas ? The ones I've seen don't impress me all that much...either too small, or not all that much protection.
The one thing I always do is make sure I’m not wearing anything with metal buttons or snaps or belts that will scratch the car when I’m working on it. I also use a set of fender covers I picked up at Car Quest.
Well, I always wear jeans and a belt......unless I am intentionally nekked........ I have looked at maybe getting an apron of some kind tho to cover the zipper & buckle..... I do have an old summit racing fender cover, but it's on the small side, and I only have 1.
There's a few front end covers that I found over the past year but haven't ordered one yet. I like this style since it covers the front header panel and facia, all in one piece. EXPENSIVE: This one is from California Car Covers: https://www.calcarcover.com/product/fender-gripper-universal-front-end-cover-fec2607/3169 CHEAP... excuse me... "LESS EXPENSIVE": I found another on Amazon, not sure of it's quality: https://www.amazon.com/RUPSE-Automo...der+covers&qid=1577375449&s=automotive&sr=1-5
I like the look of these....then you could work Nekid!!! Almost looks like a moving blanket type of material.
I use moving blankets from habor freight. Large enough to just tuck in crevices. No tape needed. Be sure to use the soft side against your paint.
