    Hello all.

I bought my wife a 2010 SRT8 about a year ago. It had 69K on it. It is at 78K now. Not sure if it has ever had a tranny fluid flush. Should we do it?

I have read where some say yes and some say no.

what do the experts here think?

    thx

Flush or pan drop? Personally I wouldn't bother with a flush and go for the pan drop where you can replace the filter.

I agree with draining and dropping the pan so you can changeout the filter and clean any deposits sitting in the pan.

Both actually have their pluses and minuses. Either way, I'd always change the filter if applicable. If the fluid appears in any way dark or dirty, I'd also flush the trans. The reason for this is that flushing replaces a far greater amount of the old fluid and truly is the only way to get foreign material out of the converter, valve body etc.

Really? Is that in the manual or something you just like to do?

Well MOPAR went to ATF in the 6-speed, and yes, it requires changing every 25k
I didn't think anything about it except my 1st trip to the track as right about that time
    (documented on this site somewhere)
and about the 3rd pass I started having problems 2nd-3rd.
Drained and replaced the fluid and took it out the next month, and shifting was smoother, but still fought Wheel Hop.
With the Diff Stiffener SRT-Tom posted, I hope to shave off 1/2 sec or better.
(If they open the track this year)

    K. So either a pan drop and new filter? Or a full flush and new filter?

Or should i wait until 100.000 miles?

    thx
