It hurts looking at this car because it looks identical to mine. One piece of data that I would love to see is the percentage of Hellcats that end up in accidents.
with Most with LESS THAN 100 miles. . . . https://jalopnik.com/first-hellcat-sold-in-colorado-wrecked-an-hour-after-pu-1673994344
I remember when the first Hellcats hit the road, a new owner, I believe in Minn., totaled it on an icy road after leaving the dealership.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all. When I picked mine up I left it in ECO mode until I got the feel for the pedal. Gradually worked my way up to track to understand what each mode was capable of. I cant imagine what would happen in the rain or ice with it in a mode where traction control is disabled.
After driving different Challengers, in Sport or Track mode, I found that the touchiest throttle was the Scat Pack A8. To me, the automatics had far more aggressive throttle tip-in. All were fairly docile in Auto mode. I actually found the supercharged cars less skittish at low speeds at throttle tip-in. The problem with the Hellcat's was when you turn off traction control and grab a bucket full of throttle. They can definitely lose traction at any speed and that's what catches people off guard.
