I've been looking into upgrading the throttle body from the OEM one on the car. Numerous options like MMX, BBK and Overkill have come up however, MMX is the one really catching my attention. The 80mm upgrade seems the most intriguing but I'm wondering if it's worth the cost due to the fact that you have to buy an adapter as well. Has anyone done this already??

Can you remind us what you’re driving and if you have other mods to the car?
I had a 2010 Challenger RT with a BBK 85mm and spacer. It was accompanied by a K&N CAI, Edelbrock Victor plenum, BBK long tube headers and a resonator delete kit. The previous owner had done most of the work.

Im driving a 2014 Redline 3.6 L. Only performance mods I have right now are an Airraid CAI, Muffler Delete and a Diablosport 93 Octane tune.

I would honestly tell you to go talk to a local tuner. One that actually has a dyno. Although there are many performance parts available for virtually every car under the sun, a large percentage of them WILL NOT provide a performance increase, and some will actually cause a decrease. The situation gets even more muddy because your goals may not be the same as other people and once you start combining mods, you need to understand how those mods interact with each other. For this reason, I usually tell the inexperienced to consult a tuner to pick their brains. They can listen to your goals and help you weed through the BS mods and concentrate on the ones that will help you attain your goals.

i thought about upgrading the SRT throttle body since I installed the 6.1 intake on my 5.7, and after I bought one from a friend, seems like they are all the same one, 5.7, 6.1, and the 6.4 all take the same throttle body

That's a great example of "you don't know what you don't know". Modding cars back in the 60's and 70's was an art but still child's play compared to today. So many more variables. So many more parts available. So much misinformation out there. So few people actually have expertise regarding automotive technology. So many people out there looking to separate you from your cash. If I had a buck for every time I've heard somebody tell me about mods they've done (or paid someone else to do) that were at least partially a waste of time (and money), actually decreased their overall performance, or simply partially or completely negated other mods they did...
    Well, you know.
    Understand your goals.
    Do your research.
