Steering column module trouble shoot

Late model U-Connect vehicles have a weird quirk. My Wrangler does it and my Challenger does it. If I shut off the car while in a phone call. The interior lights and radio stay on for a while. Not sure if this is what’s happening to you.

 

I think I fixed the problem . I disconnected fuse #31 in the engine compartment waited for 30 minutes. reinstalled the fuse entered the car closed the door then turned on the cars engine for a minute, turned off the car and armed my car alarm locking the doors while I sat in the driver side with the door closed. as I waited the steering wheel console lights automatically turned off on their own, like they are supposed to do.

I did this a few times over and over and for some unknown reason this fixed the problem. I guess pulling fuse #31 reset something in my electrical. I don't know why this was happening in the first place but Hopefully this fixed my problem for the long run.

That happened to me once and I just cycled the start button a few times and it went off. Weird

 

So far my car is working fine now. I have no idea what happened.
