Don't blame the French. The whole automotive world is changing. French, German, British, American, Korean, and Japanese companies are all making changes in response to changing public demands. And to survive; manufacturers have to adapt and overcome.

Hey, I love the sound and feel of driving a V8 because that's what I've grown up with. (My first car back in 1975 was a '68 Charger R/T with a 440, TorqueFlite, and Dana 60.) In the near future there will be a generation that will love the sound (or lack of) and feel of driving an electric vehicle. And - by the way - those EVs are faster.

I know guys that said they'd never use power-adders (NOS, turbos, superchargers.). They said it had to be all-motor to be legit. Now those same guys are already giving up their NOS systems to build turbo-power engines because they're faster on the street. My point is ... times change and people change.

More than being an "anti muscle car" thing. It's a "pro performance" thing. Because customers demand performance.

And regardless of any of our political preferences ... Biden must be somewhat of a "car guy" because I hear he has a classic Vette and gets behind the wheel.

Don't expect everyone to agree with you here or anywhere else.

Ever ask a group of guys on a hunting trip what is the best way to build a campfire? ;)

Ok, if you say so, but on July 31, 1928 they sold out to Chrysler for the equivalent of about 2.5 billion in today's money. SO while the commercials and nostalgia glorify them, they liked money, just like every other red blooded American and could give a shit less.

Okay... you got me. I stand corrected. I'm still never going to drive an EV.

When my Camaro blew blew up in April, I looked at a Tesla Model 3. Very fast car. But I could not stand it, it was totally numb.

Did the Tesla remind you of this?
