Guys, you have to look a little closer at the overall design theme. The huge open area in the center of the trunklid between the two halves of the split rear spoiler was done to accentuate the large center hood scoop.

That's the best marketing job I can do on this Barris creation. Someone will pick it up, but not me. We should all guess at the sell price. LOL

With 3 days left to bid, the price is now $24,000. This is low for a 2008. Kelly Blue Book has the private sale range of a 2008, with standard options, as $27,004 to $29,680.

Read these ridiculous posts on Cars&Bids about the George Barris Challenger. These people (and bidders) are clueless.

    yakdude01102

A basically an almost brand new 13 year old Challenger SRT8, with a truckload of cool custom stuff by two of the best. Wicked nice!! My financial advisor has told me I can watch this auction. Bid big!!24,000

saymyname, agree totally, I haven't seen anything like it.
    Needs some miles and fun.

If I purchased a car like this it would be my daily driver. No sittin in the garage till the next guy buys it. This car is meant to be on the road imo.Let the world (well, Nashville) enjoy it.

Good to see some modern work too instead of just his early stuff.

    this is definitely... a car

    Ironman279

Whacky Tacky but right, you either love it or hate it...not many in between...

George 12 years ahead of Dodge with widebody design to accommodate the larger wheels, also doors easier for passengers in rear. Looks like just came from SEMA. Would be nice to find a first year 2008 Challenger SRT with 4K miles, let alone
all the useful modifications. Make your stance with 4 wheel adjustable Air Ride from remote !
Love changing color in sun. Also beat Dodge with "new" Demon name ! One of one, may go to bank ? Could be sleeper investment?

    WidgetMaster235

One spoiler for each rear wheel... I like it!

    Alpine2.9k

Wow, this is the car of a cartoon villain! Incredible... I'm stunned!

    JimCyanide497

This one is just a bit too out there for me personally, but i appreciate the ridiculousness of it

    Sweet doors

Being that this is a George Barris design, and a pretty rare ride, It's definitely on the right side of the cool-o-meter. If it were just some random dude's flavor then I'd say the appeal would be pretty limited, but Barris's work lends an air of legitimacy to this one. Best of luck with the auction. I hope it sells to someone who will truly appreciate it.

Absolutely beautiful car! The conversion looks stunning too!

I have no idea who this George Barris guy is but I'm gonna assume he probably has the time of his life modifying different cars

    I_drive_a_CJ2A477

This is really unique, but I think it’s pretty cool! It definitely gets points for being quirky

    ilikecarstuff182

That's really cool! Some of his designs remind me of Hotwheels cars, which makes it even cooler to have one of his designs on carsandbids.

    Premiercars120

You are correct, compared to his other stuff this is pretty tame in comparison, but in person you can definitely see his unique touch throughout the car

    IDriveANissanCube638

That guy built some crazy stuff. As wild as this one is, it almost seems "Tame" compared to his other stuff. Very cool ride! I wish the bidder and sellers an amazing sale!

    General_Li1.6k

    I’m lovin’ it

    ilikecarstuff182

Wow...those are some interesting modifications. I admire the quirkiness of George Barris's design.

'King of Customization' (must be a self moniker)! Kindig-It Design, Foose, and many others are the go to customizers!

Wow, so you need approval from your financial advisor to WATCH an auction? Learn something new every day!
I learned that this guy needs a new financial advisor.

Over the years, Barris did build some cool cars for TV. Here are his four best:
