No longer standards for 22

    Has anyone heard that Dodge no longer is offering a standard for 22. Only automatic. I ordered my RT in November and it’s still on hold. Going to dealer today for some answers

    It appears that Dodge is not offering a manual in its 2022 Challenger model. If you want a manual, you may have to look for a 221 leftover or a used one.

    That being said, the 8-speed auto is a great transmission that also has an autostick feature. If you drag race, the shifts are much faster than a manual.

    I just configured a 2022 Challenger R/T ... fully loaded Go ManGo Shaker with Sun Roof ... and it defaulted to having a Manual transmission.

    Comes in at a nifty $55,845.


    Same when I configure a 2022 Challenger Scat Pack ... fully loaded Go ManGo Shaker with Sun Roof ... and it also defaulted to having a Manual transmission.

    And it comes in at a not-so-sleek $60, 460.

    Maybe the website is not updated yet...The trusted news source said , Today, Stellantis stopped the ability to order a manual trans on the Challenger...Supposedly, prior to today, it's OK ??
    I dunno...,I'm hearing of people still waiting for their builds of Nov 2021...and prolly take 2-3 mon from now, to see if any ordered in Feb actually got built with manuals....I may be crazy...But I bought my used RT [7000mi] few months ago, for $40k...Price of a new one...But, I have it...and it is a manual...Hoping it's rarity now, helps it hold value in future...Best to all..

    Who is the "trusted news source?"

    There was a time last year when they stopped orders and took the manual transmission off of the website because they were concerned that they couldn't keep up with demand due to supply line challenges.

    When their suppliers caught up ... orders for 6-speed cars resumed.

    Wizard of Iz, thanks for showing the 'list' prices. I never do that anymore since I bought mine in late 2020 and I'm stunned to see the increases. It's not a few hundred dollars higher as one would expect but thousands higher.

    I am glad I got the TR6060 when i did.

    Keep us posted on what you find out. Also, you can do an inventory search to see if you can find one, but it will be a 2021.

    That's only for Hellcats - they've removed the M6 option from the Hellcat build page on the website, but it's still there for Scat Pack, R/T, etc.

    What made the $5,000+ difference between the two models as it sounds to be you optioned them exactly alike? Was it the base price of SP vs. RT base price? Is the R/T a 5.7? The SP is a 392?

    Well for what it's worth I ordered a 22 scat pack back in December w/6 speed and the dealer texted me a couple days ago with an ETS of Feb 26 the and an ETA somewhere around the first week of march and no mention of any problems with the order but I am wondering if shipping could be delayed a few days because of coming from Canada.
