Okay, everyone is thinking it so I'll ask it... In the second photo, did someone DARE the sheriff department to modify the Challenger that way?
DARE vehicles are all different. They are NOT used for patrol or any kind of police work, if at all possible. Its like a show & tell car for the kids when teaching them about drug awareness.
Morning. Can anyone tell me how many 100 anniversary edition Challengers were made in 2014. I purchased one in 2014 and only have 29,800 miles. I keep it in the garage during the winter months. I written Chryslers but to no avail. I heard about 2,100 anniversary edition Chargers were made but no answer on the Challenger. Thank you all, keep healthy and safe.
Most likely it was a confiscated vehicle they converted into a patrol unit which many departments do.
Confiscated,,, reminds me of a 73 stang notch back I picked up for 600 bucks.... It was a MACH what ever with a 351 C with 4 bolt mains and intake valves as big as your hand... 4.88 - 9 inch posi rear. Spent 6 months rebuilding a 69 460 ford... Hogged out the ports with a grinder and feeler finkers.. Had the heads done by a German shop. heads were done as close to boss 302 heads they could. Not an easy swap putting a 460 in a 73 stang,,, when they don't sell motor mounts to drop a 429 into a stang any more... LOL It weighed 3600 with a full tank of sonoco 100 octane in it. 10 inch mickeys on the back. Turned a low 13 at the track... Not bad but not great. Road racing - beat the chit out of camaros, two vets.. fords were a waist of time... Saw a familiar car coming up on me - 68 charger... Not by much but took his ass in less then a 1/8 mile... Pulled up next to me and asked what I had in my stang. I told him ; something for hemi's. He had a 426 hemi in it. His excuse --- He had high way gears in it... tough titi said the kitty but the milk was fine.... LOLOL bobbymac
