In the 2012 models it's a 392 which is a 6.2 liter engine? What's the 6.4 engine equivalent to in cubic inches?
A smaller chassis will not be as comfortable riding as the current car with 116 inch wheel base Challenger? I also wonder will it finally get the 6 spd. auto instead of the 5 spd. auto?
The supercharger feature of the new car sounds great but on my next purchase as previously mentioned comfortable riding will be the first priority then power. Otherwise I would get a new Mustang instead.

Here is the cubic inch conversion:

    5.7 liter= 348 cubic inches
    6.1 liter= 372 cubic inches
    6.2 liter= 378 cubic inches
    6.4 liter= 391 cubic inches*

*Dodge inflated the displacement by one cubic inch so they could advertise the engine as a nostalgic 392.

So historically it was the 392 hemi engine. Everyone is familiar with the 426 hemi.:smiley-face-popcorn
The current Challenger has a 392. The first years of the Challenger when re-released in 2007? were those 6.1 liter engines? I know at one point when the Challenger returned they were 6.1 liter engines / 425 horses then at some point maybe it was 2011/2012 it went to 6.2 liter engine with current 470/475? horse configuration?

The Challenger SRT originally came out with the 6.1. Then in 2011 they brought out the 6.4. The new 6.2 is supercharged and should be here for 2013 late or 2014.

The original 392 Hemi dates back to 1957. It was an enlarged "Fire Power" engine with a 4.0 bore and a 3.90 stroke. In standard form it produced 325 horsepower. For the 300-C, the output went up to 375 horsepower. Higher compression heads made 390 horsepower.

The supercharged version new 6.2 will be on the new Barracuda and not the current Challenger body?

I doubt if the ride will be better in the newer cars if they are smaller. I can really tell the difference between my Mustang and the Challenger. Two completely different cars.

Yes I understand just like my 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 and 2005 Corvette. Generally the longer the wheelbase the better the ride?

    Barracuda Renderings

I found three interesting renderings of the 2015 Barracuda on allpar. Granted, no one knows what it will look like, but I found the one with the 1970 grill interesting.
