    So the second one is the softest/grippiest compound?

    I am a tire dealer and sell NITTO brand tires along with other major brands also, the directional tires they do not wear worth a damn as far as mileage , the only way you can rotate them is dismount them and flip them on the rims move from side to side and re balance them which is expensive and as you might know then they heel and toe wear which they cup and you will eventually have a vibration along with road noise . Now with tires that are marked on the side wall inside and outside which are called asymmetrical you can do a modified X rotation or move front to rear which then you can get good mileage for your money unless they are two different size tires . and some dealers will not tell you this. Myself i run asymmetrical tires on all my cars except my muscle cars . if you do not care about buying tires , i guess it might not mean anything to some people ?

    Nittos are the same company at Toyos, correct? Just different markets?

    So, are the second ones softer/grippier than the first ones?

    Yes NT555RII there are in the same family has the old BFG drag radials very soft.

    Ah, so. So a "legally get to the drag strip and back" kind of tire you may just put on in your garage, then drive to the strip and back again? I think those are a great idea. Not everyone is thrilled about putting some slicks on and carrying them to the strip in their car.

    Like the BFG drag radials , I ran them on one of my cars on the street back in the day and they are DOT tires but you dont dare get them hot " burn out " and pull into a gravel driveway , you will have to brush off the gravel off of the tires , i did that a few times and i took them off the car did not want to chip the paint on the body up. i personally would not run them every day . of-coarse most good performance tires like Z rated on the market are soft also as you know.

    And back to Nitto they are a part of the Toyo tire company and are made in usa..

    BTW, I had Motivos by Nitto, and they were kind of not great in the traction department. They came with a long warranty, but alas, that came at the price of some hard, hard rubber. I don't think anything is as bad as the factory Pirellis, which seem to suck no matter which Stellantis car they are made for, but the Motivos were pretty bad.

    The Michelins have had better reviews, as far as long-lasting yet grippy tires go. The Mickey Thompsons I had on before the Motivos were FAR better. I don't think the Mickeys would last anywhere near as long, but, hoo boy, they were far better tires in the traction department.

    I have read nothing but rave reviews about the PS4's by Michelin or the PS4 all-seaon tires, also.

    I don't know how the stickier Nittos/Toyos compare by direct experience, but people seem to really like their grip.
